HOW TO GET THERE

Golden Plains is held at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, on Mt. Mercer Road, near a town called Meredith, in Victoria, Australia. Meredith the town is halfway between Geelong and Ballarat on the Midland Highway (A300), about 90kms due West of Melbourne. By car from Melbourne it is a 110 minute drive, however you should allow two and a half hours on the weekend of the festival. Melway Map: 611 C4. The festival can also be reached by public transport.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Melbourne, take the Princes Fwy to Geelong.

From Tullamarine Airport, take the Western Ring Road to the Princes Fwy and head towards Geelong.

From Avalon airport, take the Princes Fwy towards Geelong.

Just before you get into the Geelong CBD there will be signs for Ballarat and Geelong West, this is the Midland Highway (A300). Take this exit (it's a left hand exit ramp) towards Ballarat. Meredith the town is about 40 minutes drive along the Midland Highway, halfway between Geelong and Ballarat. At Meredith, turn left at the Royal Hotel, this is Mt. Mercer Rd. The Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre is about 12 minutes drive along this road.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

It's easy, cheap and quick to get to and from Meredith and Golden Plains by Public Transport. We love the Public Transport system - it's one of the best in the world in fact - and encourage its use. (Nobody paid us to say that).

We will be running a shuttle into Meredith town on Monday for those of you heading home by public transport. The bus will depart from the ‘Bus Stop’ at Reception and costs $2 per person per trip.

GOING HOME BY PT

It is ESSENTIAL that you register your name at the Info Tent at the Festival to ensure your seat on this bus no later than 4pm Sunday, regardless of whether or not you arrived by PT.
Shuttlebus departs Festival site on Monday 12th March at 11am..

Getting there From Melbourne

To get to the festival, take train from Southern Cross Station to Geelong Station (approx. 1 hour ride) and at Geelong, catch connecting Ballarat bus to Meredith (approx. 40 min ride). from Meredith town, a shuttle bus will run to the festival site (10 min ride).

AVALON AIRPORT JETSTAR PASSENGERS

Services between Geelong and Avalon:
